About this Role

Location: 3500 Colonnade Pkwy Suite 550, Birmingham, AL 35243

We are seeking a Civil Designer to join our EPC team supporting power sector projects, including gas turbines, renewables, BESS, substations, and transmission systems. You will be responsible for developing civil design deliverables and construction packages that are accurate, constructible, and integrated with other disciplines.

What You'll Do

  • Draft civil plans, layouts, and construction documents for roads, grading, drainage, and site infrastructure.

  • Conduct field investigations to verify design feasibility and clearances.

  • Assist with cost estimation, material take-offs, and preliminary design studies.

  • Review and validate drawings from other drafters.

  • Collaborate with engineers and support construction activities.

  • Mentor junior designers and contribute to team development.

What You'll Bring

  • Associate degree in Engineering Technology or Computer-Aided Drafting.

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in civil drafting and design, preferably in EPC environments.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, Navisworks, and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Strong knowledge of civil materials, infrastructure design, and construction practices.

  • Ability to interpret vendor equipment drawings and integrate them into civil designs.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
