About this Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented Instrumentation Designer to support EPC projects in the power sector, including gas turbines, renewables, BESS, substations, and transmission systems. You will develop accurate instrumentation design deliverables and construction packages, ensuring reliable performance and full integration with electrical and civil systems.

What You'll Do

  • Produce control panel layouts, instrumentation diagrams, connection diagrams, loop sheets, P&ID, and system plans.

  • Interpret project scope, specifications, and design criteria for instrumentation systems.

  • Perform sizing calculations for instrumentation wiring, conduit, and signal routing.

  • Route conduit and cable tray systems for instrumentation components.

  • Create accurate installation documents from vendor equipment drawings.

  • Collaborate with electrical and civil teams to ensure coordinated design efforts.

  • Provide on-site support during construction and startup phases.

  • Support cost estimation, material take-offs, and project scheduling.

What You'll Bring

  • Associate degree in Engineering Technology or Computer-Aided Drafting.

  • Minimum 7 years of instrumentation design and drafting experience.

  • EPC and power sector experience preferred.

  • Familiarity with instrumentation materials, construction practices, and drafting standards.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D required, 3D desirable), Revit, Navisworks, ElecDes and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or across virtual teams.
