About this Role

Senior Structural Designer at Quanta Power Solutions creates detailed structural drawings and models for buildings, bridges, industrial facilities, and other structures. The role sits between drafting technicians and licensed engineers—translating engineering calculations into constructible plans while mentoring junior staff and coordinating with project teams.

What You'll Do

  • Develop structural drawings and BIM models using AutoCAD, Revit, or similar software—producing plans, sections, details, and 3D coordination models.
  • Assist with design calculations for foundations, beams, columns, connections, and load paths under the direction of licensed engineers.
  • Coordinate across disciplines—resolve clashes with MEP, architectural, and civil teams.
  • Review and check drawings for code compliance, constructability, and adherence to project standards.
  • Mentor junior designers and CAD technicians—provide technical guidance and quality control.
  • Support construction administration—respond to RFIs, prepare sketches, and review shop drawings.
  • Manage project deliverables—track schedules, budgets, and scope within assigned task

What You'll Bring
