About this Role

At R.R. Cassidy, Inc., we pride ourselves on delivering top-tier electrical systems and solutions for a wide range of industries. We're excited to offer a 12 week, paid Internship opportunity to join our team in Summer 2026. This position will involve a combination of project management duties and hands-on field engineering work. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, willingness to learn and a team player attitude.

What You'll Do

As a Project Manager Intern, you will work closely with our project management team to help plan, coordinate, and execute projects on time and within scope. You’ll gain hands-on experience in project planning, stakeholder communication, timeline tracking, and agile methodologies while contributing to real business outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of project plans, schedules, and documentation
  • Track project milestones, deliverables, and deadlines
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Participate in meetings, take notes, and follow up on action items
  • Identify project risks and propose mitigation strategies
  • Help maintain project management tools
  • Prepare progress reports and presentations for leadership
  • Support multiple projects simultaneously under the supervision of a Project Manager

As a Field Engineer Intern, you’ll work directly with project engineers, site supervisors, and construction managers to assist with daily field activities, inspections, technical documentation, and site coordination. This is a valuable opportunity to bridge academic knowledge with practical field experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily field operations and project coordination
  • Support site inspections and quality assurance activities
  • Collect and analyze field data for reporting and documentation
  • Help maintain as-built drawings, RFIs, submittals, and other field records
  • Communicate with subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel
  • Monitor safety compliance and support safety documentation efforts
  • Assist with material tracking, scheduling, and delivery coordination
  • Attend project meetings and document minutes and follow-ups

What You'll Bring

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Pursuit of Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution with at least one-year of post-secondary education.

Essential skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Working knowledge of computer application software (training will be provided if needed)
  • Organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.

Valued but not required skills and experience:

    • Minimum of a 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
    • Prior internship and/or related consulting experience.
