About this Role

We are seeking a highly organized and results-driven Construction Operations Manager to oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of our construction projects. This role is responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget, while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and client satisfaction. The Construction Operations Manager will serve as a key leader, coordinating teams, optimizing processes, and driving operational excellence across all phases of construction.

What You'll Do

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Management & Oversight
    • Lead and manage multiple construction projects from proposal development through project completion.
    • Develop and maintain project construction schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
    • Monitor progress and performance, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations, safety standards, and quality benchmarks.
    • Directs preparation of and reviews project construction execution plans for projects.  Develop construction execution plan for projects and proposals which minimizes cost and duration of construction activities.
  • Team Leadership
    • Supervise and mentor site managers, construction managers, and field staff.
    • Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and collaboration.
    • Provide training and professional development opportunities to enhance team performance.
  • Operational Efficiency
    • Implement and refine procedures to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
    • Manage subcontractors and vendor relationships, ensuring timely delivery of services and materials.
    • Oversee procurement processes and management of construction materials and equipment.
  • Safety & Compliance
    • Ensure all operations comply with OSHA regulations, building codes, and company safety policies.
    • Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and corrective action plans.
  • Client & Stakeholder Relations
    • Address and resolve issues promptly to maintain positive client relationships.
    • Prepare and deliver project updates, reports, and presentations to executives and stakeholders.
  • Financial Management
    • Track project costs, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions.
    • Collaborate with finance teams on invoicing, change orders, and financial reporting.
    • Drive profitability while maintaining quality and compliance.

What You'll Bring

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in construction management, with at least 3 years in an operations leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, safety regulations, scheduling, budgeting, and project management.
  • Proven ability to lead diverse teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of management of direct hire craft (union and/or open shop)
