About this Role

Full-Time Onsite: 3500 Colonnade Pkwy, Birmingham, AL 35243

We are seeking a Cost Specialist with proven experience in engineering, procurement, and construction on multi-million-dollar power generations projects.

 

In this role, you will lead cost control and forecasting for $500M+ EPC and industrial projects, partner closely with project managers and executives to ensure financial accuracy and efficiency, and mentor junior team members to support their growth.

What You'll Do

· Lead development of cost reports, forecasts, and variance analyses for high-value projects.

· Oversee budget tracking, change management, and financial reporting.

· Advise project managers and directors on cost performance and risk mitigation.

· Ensure compliance with corporate financial policies and support internal audits.

· Mentor and train junior cost analysts and specialists.

· Drive continuous improvement in cost control processes and tools.

What You'll Bring

· 6+ years of experience in project controls cost on major large scale EPC projects.

· Advanced proficiency in Excel.

· Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.

· Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience. (e.g., Finance, Construction Management, Engineering)

 

Experience with large scale EPC construction projects.

· Knowledge of JD Edwards, EcoSys and/or Hubble a plus.
