About this Role

Job Title: Senior Project Coordinator - Transmission Line

 

At QISG, the Senior Project Coordinator is a highly experienced project support professional responsible for overseeing coordination across large or complex transmission line projects. This role provides advanced project planning support, ensures flawless document control execution, and enables engineering teams to deliver projects on scope, schedule, and budget. Senior Project Coordinators act as subject-matter experts in project workflows, often leading coordination strategy, training initiatives, and process improvement efforts across QISG.

What You'll Do

  • Lead coordination across multiple projects or large, multi-discipline project teams.
  • Own the full document control lifecycle, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and compliance across all deliverables.
  • Manage project schedules, milestone tracking, forecasts, and risk logs in partnership with Project Managers and Project Controls.
  • Serve as the primary client-facing coordinator for deliverable planning, submittal requirements, and schedule negotiations.
  • Perform advanced QA/QC reviews, ensuring documentation meets internal and client standards before submittal.
  • Develop project execution tools, templates, and workflow enhancements used across the company.
  • Train and mentor Project Coordinators I & II, providing guidance on best practices and technical workflows.
  • Support scope definition, change management tracking, and alignment of engineering resources to project needs.
  • Facilitate cross-functional meetings, drive accountability on action items, and ensure critical-path tasks remain on schedule.
  • Identify systemic process challenges and collaborate across departments to implement long-term solutions.
  • Provide executive-level reporting and project performance updates when required.
  • Other duties as assigned

What You'll Bring

  • High School Diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s preferred (Bachelor’s strongly recommended).
  • 4–7+ years of project coordination or related experience, preferably in transmission or engineering services.
  • Expertise in project documentation control systems (ProjectWise, Teams, SharePoint, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of engineering project lifecycles and deliverable requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Experience training others and leading process improvements.
