Director – Category Management (Renewable Energy Components)

We are seeking a Director - Category Management with proven experience leading teams supporting utility-scale Wind, Solar, and BESS projects.
This role will oversee sourcing and procurement of critical materials—including racking systems, inverters, transformers, structural steel, and cable—while driving enterprise sourcing strategy, supplier performance, and successful project execution.
This is a fully remote opportunity open to candidates across the United States (no visa sponsorship available), with up to 30% domestic and international travel.
10+ years of experience in strategic sourcing or category management within complex, capital-intensive environments, with a proven track record of leading teams and executing enterprise-wide sourcing strategies
Strong experience supporting Wind, Solar, and BESS EPC projects, sourcing materials such as solar racking systems, steel piles and structural steel, inverters, transformers, MV/LV cable, wire, switchgear, and balance-of-plant components
Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional and senior leadership stakeholders and translate strategy into measurable execution
Highly analytical and execution-focused, comfortable using data and market intelligence to drive decisions and results
Bachelor’s degree required (Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Electrical Engineering, or related field); APICS/CPSM or similar certification preferred
