Senior Buyer – EnergyLink, a Quanta Services Company


EnergyLink is seeking a Senior Buyer to drive strategic procurement for major energy and infrastructure projects. You’ll manage sourcing, negotiations, and supplier relationships across the full EPC lifecycle, ensuring cost, schedule, and quality goals are met. Partner with engineering, project, and construction teams to deliver mission-critical materials and equipment.

What You'll Do

  • Lead or support purchasing for critical project materials and equipment—from planning and sourcing to order execution and delivery.
  • Build and manage supplier relationships, ensuring quality, compliance, and performance while negotiating favorable terms.
  • Coordinate logistics to deliver materials on time and within budget.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between internal teams and suppliers, providing clear updates and communication.
  • Identify risks and implement solutions, including alternate sourcing or expediting.
  • Leverage ERP systems to track procurement, monitor inventory, and ensure data accuracy.
  • Resolve supplier or delivery issues in collaboration with project stakeholders to maintain momentum.
  • Drive strategic sourcing initiatives, including RFx execution, cost analysis, and supplier performance reviews.
  • Partner with project management, planning, and quality teams to align purchasing with project objectives.
  • Senior Buyer focus: Lead high-value negotiations, mentor junior buyers, and influence broader sourcing strategies.

What You'll Bring

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (especially Excel).

  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, JDE, etc.).

  • Negotiation, planning, and problem-solving skills that grow in complexity by level.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to balance multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong business acumen, organization, and decision-making ability.

  • Willingness to travel up to 25%; valid driver’s license required.
