About this Role

We’re looking for a results-driven and detail-oriented Senior Buyer to lead the full procurement lifecycle for critical materials and equipment across fast-paced, high-value projects. This role blends operational execution with strategic influence—ensuring materials arrive on time, within budget, and to specification, while driving supplier performance and mitigating risk.

You’ll collaborate closely with sourcing, planning, logistics, and quality teams to deliver consistent results and support long-term supply chain excellence. If you excel at navigating complexity, influencing outcomes, and building supplier value, we want to hear from you.

What You'll Do

  • Own the end-to-end purchasing process for assigned commodities and equipment—from requisition through delivery and closeout.

  • Place and manage purchase orders, oversee logistics coordination, and support lease agreements and returns as needed.

  • Ensure on-time, cost-effective, and quality-compliant delivery of materials to project sites with full visibility into status, risks, and recovery plans.

  • Track order progress, expedite deliveries, and resolve delivery, quality, and pricing discrepancies in partnership with suppliers and stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with sourcing to execute category strategies, monitor supplier KPIs, and implement supplier performance improvement plans.

  • Interpret BOMs, technical drawings, and project specifications to inform buying decisions and minimize errors or rework.

  • Analyze data to optimize purchasing strategies, including inventory levels, safety stock, lead times, and cost structures.

  • Drive continuous improvement across purchasing workflows, supplier processes, and systems adoption.

  • Support training, reporting, and the development of key procurement metrics to improve visibility and decision-making.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for suppliers on issues such as price adjustments, lead time changes, and availability impacts.

What You'll Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in procurement, planning, or supply chain, ideally in construction, infrastructure, or project-driven industries.

  • Advanced knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, Eclipse, etc.) and procurement best practices.

  • Strong analytical skills and strategic mindset, paired with executional discipline and attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in interpreting technical documentation including BOMs, specifications, and drawings.

  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and negotiation skills—able to influence both internal and external stakeholders.

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

  • Supply chain or procurement certification (APICS, CPIM, CSCP, CPPM) preferred.

What You'll Get

  • Competitive base salary + annual bonus potential

  • Generous PTO & paid holidays to maintain work-life balance

  • 401(k) with a generous match to plan for your future

  • Comprehensive benefits – medical, dental, vision, and life insurance

  • Weekly pay for consistent, reliable compensation

  • Great mentoring & career growth opportunities – we invest in your development
