About this Role

Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group, LLC (QISG), a Quanta Services, Inc. company (NYSE: PWR) is looking for a Project Controls Specialist will be responsible for assisting the Project Managers, Operations Directors, and other Project Controls team members with all facets of project execution. This position will be expected to implement project cost reporting to track, monitor, and control progress in real time. In addition, the Project Controls Specialist will be responsible for effectively capturing, tracking, and measuring a broad range of project financial, budget, and cost information to satisfy project and client requirements.

 

Work assignments may include multiple concurrent projects. While not otherwise involved in project-specific work, the Project Controls Specialist will support other project and proposal efforts.

What You'll Do

  • Performs change and risk management responsibilities; identifies, documents, and assists with developing mitigation plans
  • Manages, tracks, and reports project costs and accruals to Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
  • Prepares, manages, and updates project budgets, budget transfers, forecasts, variances, and other updates
  • Assists in the preparation of Prime Contract progress payment applications
  • Assists in the development of Prime and Subcontract change requests and change orders (including logs)
  • Assists with monthly progress and management reports
  • Reviews, codes, and enters receipts for subcontractor/supplier/vendor invoices, lien waivers, and logs
  • Supports internal and external audits
  • Maintains project documents, storage, and logs
  • Captures and maintains project meeting notes and action items lists
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Adheres to internal standards, policies, and procedures

What You'll Bring

Required Experience and Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Science/Management, Accounting, Engineering, or equivalent field; equivalent work experience, or combination of work and education, may be substituted
  • 5+ years of project controls experience with multi-year design and construction projects

Preferred Experience and Education

  • Project accounting experience with multi-year design and construction projects, specifically within the EPC space
  • JDE and/or EcoSys experience is a plus
  • Document control (Procore a plus) and contract administration and management
  • Knowledge of CPM scheduling, cost loading, and resource loading (Primavera P6)

Skills

  • Self-starter who can work independently while supporting the needs of the team
  • Knowledge of cost engineering, forecasting, and budget management
  • Understanding of the project work breakdown structure (WBS) for projects
  • Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally to all levels of the organization
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities; capable of managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Sound decision making and problem-solving skills

Compensation Range

The anticipated compensation for this position is USD $70,000.00/Yr. - USD $140,000.00/Yr. depending on experience and qualifications.
