About this Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Intern to join our HR team supporting a dynamic power generation organization. This internship provides hands-on exposure to core HR functions including talent acquisition, employee relations, compliance, and HR operations within a regulated energy environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for students interested in building a career in human resources while gaining insight into the energy and utilities sector.

What You'll Do

  • Assist with full-cycle recruiting activities, including job postings, resume screening, and interview coordination
  • Support onboarding processes for new hires (documentation, orientation scheduling, system setup)
  • Maintain and update employee records in HRIS systems
  • Help coordinate employee engagement initiatives and internal communications
  • Assist with compliance tracking (I-9s, training certifications, policy acknowledgments)
  • Conduct research on HR best practices and assist with policy updates
  • Provide general administrative support to the HR team
  • Support special HR projects as needed (diversity initiatives, training programs, etc.)

What You'll Bring

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism
  • Interest in the energy, utilities, or industrial sector preferred
