General Description
The Materials Clerk is responsible for project materials receiving, reconciling item discrepancies
with purchasing and suppliers, validating quality inspection, and compiling reports.
Duties
• Manages the shipment and receipt of project materials and supplies
• Receive, inspect, and count incoming materials, verifying accuracy against packing slips
and invoices
• Collaborates and communicates with field personnel, materials coordinators, expeditors,
buyers, suppliers, and others involved in the shipment and receipt of products
• Tracks, traces, and updates the status of incoming and outgoing shipments
• Provides support for other areas of Materials Management department
• Verify shipment contents against packing slips and purchase orders
• Unpack and store received items in designated locations
• Prepare outgoing shipments by generating pick tickets and shipping documents
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all inventory movements
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management software
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
• Performs special projects and completes other duties as assigned or requested
Required Experience and Education
• High school diploma (or equivalent) and 1+ years of relevant experience
Preferred Experience and Education
• Associate or bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of relevant experience
• Relevant career experience in the construction industry and exposure to EPC projects in
the electric power delivery sector is preferred
Skills
• Highly motivated, well organized, resourceful, and proactive with a tenacious and
empowering team orientated style
• Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated problem solving experience with the ability to multi-task and apply a
structured approach to complex situations
• Ability to work irregular schedule and long hours required to meet required deadlines
