About this Role

Quanta Power Solutions is seeking a Structural Steel Superintendent to be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all structural steel construction activities for utility-scale power generation projects, including Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) facilities. This role provides field leadership for ironworkers and subcontractors, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with project quality standards.

What You'll Do

  • Lead all structural steel erection activities within assigned project areas.
  • Supervise ironworkers, foremen, and structural steel subcontractors.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and project requirements.
  • Coordinate manpower, equipment, cranes, and material deliveries to support construction schedules.
  • Oversee erection of structural steel, equipment supports, pipe racks, platforms, stair towers, and miscellaneous steel.
  • Review drawings, specifications, erection plans, and lift plans to ensure proper execution.
  • Monitor productivity, quality, and schedule performance.
  • Coordinate work with civil, mechanical, electrical, and project management teams.
  • Support inspections, turnover activities, and punch list completion.
  • Prepare progress reports and maintain construction documentation.

What You'll Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 10+ years of structural steel construction experience.
  • 5+ years of supervisory experience in power generation, industrial, refinery, or heavy construction projects.
  • CCGT or utility-scale power generation experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of steel erection practices, rigging, crane operations, and structural drawings.
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred.
  • Willingness to travel and work project-based schedules.
