About this Role

COMPANY: Quanta Government Solutions

JOB TITLE: Senior Costpoint System Administrator

DEPARTMENT: Accounting & Finance

LOCATION: Remote

REPORTS TO: Director, Accounting and Finance

CLASSIFICATION: Exempt

POSITION OVERVIEW:

QGS is seeking a Senior Costpoint System Administrator to serve as the Accounting & Finance subject matter expert and functional owner of Deltek Costpoint. This role administers and supports Costpoint across the full accounting lifecycle—General Ledger, Accounts Payable and Cash Disbursements, Accounts Receivable and Cash Receipts, billing, and labor and leave—while guiding the accounting team's ownership of project setup and indirect pools and rates, to ensure accurate project reporting and government contract compliance.

This is a hands-on, functional role focused on day-to-day system administration and end-user support rather than enterprise strategy ownership. The Senior Costpoint System Administrator partners with accounting, finance, project control, and program teams to configure the system, resolve issues, manage integrations, and keep month-end, billing, and reporting cycles running smoothly.

This role is ideal for a seasoned Costpoint professional with deep government contract accounting knowledge, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work across teams to bring accuracy, consistency, and reliability to critical financial systems and reporting.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as the Accounting & Finance subject matter expert and system administrator for Deltek Costpoint, supporting government contract accounting operations end to end
  • Administer core Costpoint modules including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Billing, and Labor and Leave, and guide/train the accounting team on project setup master data standards
  • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot indirect cost pools, rates, and revenue formulas to ensure accurate project reporting and DCAA compliance
  • Provide training, ad hoc support, and problem-solving for finance, project control, and program teams

Costpoint System Administration

  • Manage user and user group setup and maintenance—adds, deletions, and modifications—along with security roles and access controls
  • Administer system configuration and resolve issues through Deltek support ticketing, applying updates and coordinating upgrades
  • Support the configuration and maintenance of charge trees, timesheets, allowances, and leave setup and processing; guide and train the accounting team on project account group and workforce master data setup, and help develop related reference documentation

Project Accounting, Pools & Rates

  • Guide and train the accounting team on the design and configuration of indirect cost pools and rates, develop related reference documentation, and support revenue processing and formula changes
  • Provide support for the set up and maintenance of  projects, including support for Incurred Cost Submissions and DCAA reporting
  • Provide SME support to the process of transaction-based (CPFF and T&M), scheduled, percent-complete, and manual billings, including indirect rate final billings
  • Support the accounting team with managing account-org linkages, financial reporting, and General Ledger and Project Ledger reconciliations

Reporting, Business Intelligence & Integrations

  • Build and maintain financial and project reports using the Cognos BI and Impromptu reporting tools
  • Support the production of Project Status Reports, Revenue Worksheets, and Revenue Summaries for project managers and leadership
  • Manage system integrations between Costpoint and payroll (ADP) and expense (SAP Concur) platforms
  • Extract files from ADP and Concur, import them into Costpoint, and troubleshoot integration issues
  • Support Purchasing and Receiving processes and related reconciliations within Costpoint
  • Provide support to the Accounting team for the reconciliation of General Ledger and Project Ledger revenues and indirect rates
  • Partner with accounting and finance teams to validate data accuracy and improve reporting processes

Training, Support & Continuous Improvement

  • Train finance, accounting, and project control staff on Costpoint processes and best practices
  • Provide ad hoc SME support for proposals, project kickoff meetings, and general problem-solving
  • Develop and document internal processes and procedures for consistent, compliant system use
  • Develop reference guides and process documentation for key master data areas (e.g., project setup, indirect cost pools and rates, account-org structure) to enable the accounting team to own day-to-day master data maintenance, with this role providing ongoing guidance and quality review
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and system configuration, and lead implementation of enhancements
