About this Role

The QDC Field Construction Coordinator, reporting to the Project Manager (PM), will provide combined technical and coordination support to operations on QDC field construction projects. This role will provide technical verification support in the areas of scope confirmation, install quantity tracking by cost code, readiness and receiving walks, and change documentation. In addition, this role will provide on-site coordination support to the PM in the areas of daily headcount and crew tracking by operating unit and area, access and logistics coordination, and administrative field support. The Construction Coordinator will serve as the single point of field accountability for both technical accuracy and day-to-day site coordination.

What You'll Do

Core Duties

· Confirms that scope is executed as designed through readiness and receiving walks, and documents change at the point it occurs.

· Tracks installed quantities by cost code and maintains accurate cost coding records.

· Tracks daily on-site headcount and crew counts by operating unit and area, recorded in the Procore daily log.

· Provides administrative field support to the PM, including scheduling walkdowns, tracking deliveries, and coordinating meetings.

· Maintains a weekly earned-versus-burned rollup to the PM.

· Maintains daily reporting in Procore, including hours by cost code and operating unit, quantities, weather, delays, and direction received.

· Maintains photographic documentation and safety observations for the site.

 

Duties by Scope – Single area of Scope will be assigned

· Electrical: Tracks installed quantities by cost code (conduit, tray, wire, and terminations); tracks crew counts by operating unit and area; captures verbal direction with same-day escalation to the PM; receives OFCI electrical equipment (gear, UPS units, PDUs) against Exhibit E; tracks test-pack status by HAC; collects as-built redlines.

· Mechanical: Verifies equipment set and alignment; tracks piping quantities; conducts flush-readiness walkdowns (initiating the 30-day clock); receives modules and verifies installed status; tracks status of temporary circulation setup during phased turnover.

· Civil / Sitework: Verifies quantities for flatwork, duct bank, and chiller yard underground work; tracks campus loop progress; tracks punch-list items and restoration.

· Turnover / Commissioning: Maintains the HAC-by-HAC readiness matrix within firewall blocks; tracks construction-complete, flush, commissioning, and Early Access milestones per block (60-day rule); maintains the coordination record with tenant/owner and vendor access; owns the field component of the commissioning responsibility matrix once already established.

 

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Technical & Field Skills

● Strong technical understanding of construction scope, drawings, and specifications sufficient to verify installed work against design.

● Ability to track and report installed quantities by cost code across electrical, mechanical, and civil/sitework scopes.

● Working knowledge of Procore or similar construction management/daily-log software.

● Attention to detail in documenting change, collecting as-built redlines, and maintaining accurate records for weekly earned-versus-burned rollups.

What You'll Bring

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

● BS/BA in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, IT, or a related field.

● Or 3 years of experience supporting commercial construction projects in the following areas: safety, planning, scheduling, cost monitoring, cost reporting, customer reporting, performance tracking, budgeting, estimating, change orders, billing, subcontractor management, purchasing, equipment and tooling management, and bid development.

 

Skills

● Extensive computer skills to include Bluebeam, Microsoft – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.

● Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

● Ability to anticipate and meet internal customer needs.

● Proven communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills; this position requires frequent communication with employees and outside vendors. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

● Ability to maintain confidentiality.

● Ability to take on very challenging and multiple projects and dedicate the time and efforts to ensure a safe, profitable and end the project with a very satisfied customer.

● Ability to work in a field office environment, as well as work in outdoor weather conditions.
