About this Role

Quanta Power Solutions is seeking a motivated and field-focused Project Safety Manager to support safety performance across power generation construction, maintenance, commissioning, outage, and capital improvement projects throughout the United States. Based in Texas, this role works closely with project teams, craft personnel, and leadership to promote a strong safety culture, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and support the safe execution of complex energy infrastructure projects.

 

The ideal candidate is a hands-on safety professional who enjoys being in the field, building relationships with operations teams, and driving proactive risk management initiatives across multiple project locations.

What You'll Do

  • Support project-specific safety programs across power generation and industrial construction projects nationwide.
  • Conduct field audits, site inspections, safety observations, and compliance reviews to ensure adherence to company, client, and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist project teams with job hazard analyses (JHAs), pre-task planning, and risk assessments.
  • Promote safe work practices related to mechanical, civil, structural, electrical, and commissioning activities.
  • Partner with project leadership to identify hazards and implement corrective and preventative actions.
  • Support outage, turnaround, startup, and commissioning activities from a safety perspective.
  • Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety concerns, including participation in root cause analysis and corrective action tracking.
  • Facilitate safety orientations, toolbox talks, safety stand-downs, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Monitor subcontractor safety performance and support compliance with project safety requirements.
  • Maintain accurate safety records, training documentation, inspection reports, and performance metrics.
  • Assist with emergency response planning, drills, and site readiness activities.
  • Travel extensively to active project sites throughout the United States to support field operations and reinforce Quanta Power Solutions' commitment to safety excellence.

What You'll Bring

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED required; degree in Safety, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
  • 7+ years of safety experience supporting power generation, industrial construction, utility, energy, manufacturing, or EPC projects.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, construction safety standards, and hazard mitigation practices.
  • Experience leading safety programs, incident investigations, audits, and risk assessments on large-scale projects.
  • Proven ability to influence project teams, contractors, and clients while promoting a strong safety culture.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management systems.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 75%.

Preferred Qualifications

  • OSHA 30, OSHA 500/510, CHST, ASP, or CSP certification.
  • CPR/First Aid/AED Certification.
  • Experience supporting gas-fired generation, combined-cycle plants, renewable energy, BESS, transmission, substation, or industrial EPC projects.
  • Working knowledge of LOTO, Confined Space Entry, Fall Protection, Crane & Rigging, Hot Work, Electrical Safety (NFPA 70E), Excavation/Trenching, and Heavy Equipment Operations.
  • Experience mentoring safety personnel and supporting multiple concurrent projects.
