We are committed to attracting and retaining top talent by offering competitive wages, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for professional growth.

About this Role

EnergyLink, a Quanta Services company, is looking for a Sourcing Manager who knows the data center world—and knows how to get complex projects sourced, negotiated, and ready to build.

This isn’t traditional procurement. We’re looking for someone who understands the urgency, scale, and complexity of mission-critical data center construction and can turn technical requirements into smart sourcing strategies.

From transformers and switchgear to UPS systems, generators, cooling, controls, structured cabling, and low-voltage infrastructure, you’ll help secure the equipment, materials, services, and supplier partnerships that keep projects moving.

And just as importantly—you’ll bring your expertise to the team, helping develop and strengthen our sourcing specialists along the way.

What You'll Do

This is a hands-on sourcing leadership role. You’ll be at the center of the action—connecting technical requirements, supplier capability, commercial strategy, and project schedules to help data-center projects move from bid to build.

  • Own the sourcing strategy and bid execution for data-center construction projects from initial scope review through supplier recommendation and handoff to Purchasing.
  • Turn technical requirements into actionable sourcing plans by reviewing RFPs, drawings, BOMs, specifications, schedules, and project priorities.
  • Source critical data-center equipment and construction scopes, including transformers, switchgear, UPS systems, generators, power distribution, cable, cooling systems, controls, structured cabling, and low-voltage infrastructure.
  • Lead RFx events, supplier evaluations, commercial negotiations, and bid leveling to secure competitive pricing, favorable terms, and reliable delivery commitments.
  • Identify long-lead equipment and supply-chain risks early and develop sourcing solutions that protect construction, energization, and commissioning milestones.
  • Partner closely with Engineering, Project Management, Construction, Category Management, and Purchasing to resolve technical and commercial issues quickly.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with key data-center suppliers while evaluating capacity, manufacturing constraints, quality, and performance.
  • Coach sourcing specialists through real project work, helping the team build deeper data-center knowledge and stronger sourcing capabilities.
  • Track sourcing performance, improve bid turnaround and pricing accuracy, and help create scalable processes as EnergyLink's data-center business grows.

What You'll Bring

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • 8–12 years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, supply chain, or project sourcing.
  • At least 4–6 years of experience supporting data center construction, mission-critical facilities, or similarly complex infrastructure projects.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex RFP/RFQ processes, bid evaluations, supplier negotiations, and commercial analysis.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), technical specifications, scopes of work, and project requirements.
  • Experience evaluating suppliers based on cost, capacity, lead times, quality, delivery performance, and commercial risk.
  • Strong understanding of long-lead equipment and supply-chain risks that can impact construction, energization, and commissioning schedules.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple sourcing projects and bids simultaneously while meeting aggressive project deadlines.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% as business and project needs require.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct sourcing experience with data center electrical infrastructure, including transformers, switchgear, UPS systems, generators, power distribution equipment, cable, and related components.
  • Experience sourcing mechanical and cooling systems, controls, structured cabling, low-voltage systems, or other mission-critical construction scopes.
  • Established relationships within the data center supplier, manufacturer, OEM, subcontractor, or mission-critical construction ecosystem.
  • Knowledge of current manufacturing capacity, market constraints, and lead-time challenges affecting critical data center equipment.
  • Experience working within an EPC, electrical infrastructure, utility, construction, or mission-critical environment.
  • Experience coaching, mentoring, or developing sourcing specialists, buyers, or procurement professionals.
  • Experience with Procore, SAP, Oracle, or comparable procurement/project management systems.
  • Familiarity with Buy American requirements, supplier diversity programs, client-specific sourcing requirements, and procurement audit standards.

What You'll Get

At EnergyLink, you’ll get more than a sourcing role—you’ll have the opportunity to help shape how we support the rapidly growing data center and mission-critical infrastructure market.

You can expect:

  • High-impact work supporting complex, large-scale data center infrastructure projects.
  • Real ownership of sourcing strategies, supplier relationships, negotiations, and critical bid decisions.
  • The opportunity to become a go-to data center sourcing expert and help strengthen our internal capabilities.
  • Exposure to critical infrastructure including power, electrical, cooling, controls, and low-voltage systems.
  • A highly collaborative environment where you’ll partner with Engineering, Construction, Project Management, Purchasing, Category Management, and key suppliers.
  • Opportunities to coach and develop sourcing professionals while continuing to grow your own leadership capabilities.
  • Visibility into a growing area of the business with opportunities to influence cost, schedule, supplier strategy, and project execution.
  • The strength and resources of EnergyLink, a Quanta Services company, while working with a team focused on building what’s next.
  • A culture centered around safety, collaboration, accountability, and delivering results.
  • A competitive total rewards package designed to support your career, well-being, and future.

If you’re ready to bring your data center expertise to a role where your knowledge can make a measurable impact, we’d love to connect with you.
